Poems from September – 17th September 2020

Wind in the leaves
the sun follows

Up the gentle hill,

A corner
for laughter

A corner
for loss

A corner
for sleeping

A corner
for seeing

The weeping willows
where grey wagtails leap

September’s laugh
a quiet lake.

Ducks sleep in the shade
with crumbling leaves.

The sky of cries
and poplar trees.

Time to leave

Light through the leaves

Pressure of the air

Many paths and trees
