Poems from September – 17th September 2020

Wind in the leaves
the sun follows

Up the gentle hill,
smiling

A corner
for laughter

A corner
for loss

A corner
for sleeping

A corner
for seeing

~

The weeping willows
where grey wagtails leap

September’s laugh
a quiet lake.

Ducks sleep in the shade
with crumbling leaves.

The sky of cries
and poplar trees.

~~

Time to leave

Light through the leaves

Pressure of the air

Many paths and trees
