How we played

Sat next to my brother
on the computer
bought by my father;
in his night, our day,
mother’s cooking
from the kitchen.

Dieter Eilts
Mehmet Scholl
Matthias Sammer

Names crisply read
germanically by the game,
elegance of another world,
that did not meet,
just blindfolded, forever,
in delicate white skill,
chasing with the arrow keys,
perfection, we buried hours
and beautiful charms,
left behind,
even now.
